Seventh Joint Research Workshop Paris 1 – FESP

Context

The Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University in collaboration with the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne holds an annual workshop that provides a platform for approximately 40 economists (and professionals in related disciplines) from Egypt and France to discuss their recent research work. In addition, it offers a vehicle for networking among researchers from both universities.

The organization of this research workshop follows a long-standing cooperation between the two universities, including the agreement of a double diploma (both at the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels) in economics that strengthen scientific links between the two parties.

This workshop will take place in the premises of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University on the 24th and 25th of November, 2019.

Workshop objectives

The objective of the workshop is to provide a platform for the participants to present and discuss their research work and get a constructive feedback to improve their papers and manage to publish them in refereed journals. It should further encourage the collaboration between the researchers of the two universities. The organizers welcome papers on economic and social policies including trade, fiscal, competition, monetary and sectoral policies.  

 Instructions for authors

All authors are asked to submit a full paper and /or an extended abstract in pdf format only. The extended abstract (maximum 1000 words) should be submitted in English and should clearly state the research question, policy relevance of the papers, the methodology and data used (if appropriate). The author making the submission must provide the full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all coauthors for each submission. Please note that each individual may present only one paper during the conference, though they may be listed as a co-author on multiple papers.
